Red Velvet Comedy

A monthly standup competition mic

Twenty-five comics. Five minutes each. One winner, and you help pick them. Red Velvet Comedy is our monthly standup competition, where Chicago comics go head to head for cash prizes and paid slots in Stars & Garters' comedy and variety shows. Seasoned regulars, total newcomers, and everyone in between get the same five minutes to win the room. Two rotating judges score every set, but the audience votes too, so the biggest laughs in the room genuinely decide who takes it home.
